MC goes to hospital but it's for a specialist appointment
I had a specialist appointment today. Just thinking about how they would react to MC going to the hospital
Tw: GN!MC (no pronouns), hospital mention, healthcare,
this has been in my drafts for like a year
Lucifer
Probably took you to the appointment tbh
You would've had to explain that you needed to go if you were in the devildom at the time
Gets you a treat after. The longer/more invasive the appointment, the bigger the treat lol
Will take you to the chemist after if you need something there
10/10 the most gentlest man
Probably being harassed by his brothers about you the whole time
If you ask, he will probably let you touch his wings. He might wrap you in them if you're nervous and that helps
Mammon
Freaks out when you tell him you need to go to the hospital
Probably runs before you can explain. Goes to Satan or Lucifer to tell them you're dying and to help you
Once you explain, they call him an idiot and he gets very embarrassed, but relieved you aren't dying
Takes you in one of his cars "for comfort"
More anxious than you. Paces about outside and texts every few minutes to check up on you
Sends his crows to look through the windows
Make sure to tell him when you're going into the appointment so he doesn't breakdown when he doesn't get an answer
Buys you a piece of jewellery "for good luck" afterwards (he most likely enchanted it) as well as any medical supplies needed
He got spooked, so he doesn't leave your side for a while after getting home (please cuddle him. It's for your sake, he swears)
Leviathan
Doesn't know what to do with the information
He'll offer to help you talk to Lucifer, but unless you specifically ask him to come with you, he probably wont
If he does come with you, he's got one of those nappy bags but full of entertainment devices
Game consoles, novels, manga, chargers, headphones, everything! He's ready. There are even drawing supplies
No matter how long you wait you won't be bored
Takes you to buy a new game/manga afterwards and offers to hang out and/or have a sleepover when you get home
Asks one of his brothers to get you any medical supplies you need so you can chill
Constantly checking in on you if you decide to go to your room instead
Satan
Pretty standard. Similar to Lucifer
He offers to "talk" to Lucifer about you going to the human realm
Steals Borrows Lucifer's car
Has brought books and headphones for music/audiobooks
Waits patiently. Checks up every half hour on the dot unless you ask him not to
Takes you to your choice of (cat) cafe/bookstore/library after if you feel up to it
If not, he might buy you a book
Makes you tea of your choice when you get home and offers to read to you
Also sends someone else to get medical supplies
This man knows comfort. He will set you up in the comfiest little nest with blankets and books and snacks. And maybe himself if you ask nicely
Asmodeus
The most dramatic reaction ever
I'm talking draped over the furniture like one of those renaissance paintings
Honestly a little bit annoying, but kind of funny and endearing that he cares so much
You will probably have to get Satan or Lucifer to help calm him down and explain
He might also need to go to the hospital after the heart attack you gave him!
Makes you a little care package to take with you. sanitizers, hand cream, wipes, he even tried to give you an overnight pack with a soft dressing gown and slippers
He will come with you if you ask, but he might be a bit clingy and try to come in to the appointment with you (also hospitals are gross)
Makes Mammon or Lucifer chauffeur you
Treats you to one of his famous spa days afterwards
Fluffy cozy movie night in one of your rooms. Can't let that over night bag go to waste!
Beelzebub
Gets a little bit sad that he didn't realise his human was sick
Please explain the situation quickly, he might cry
Once he understands, he asks if you need anything. Very sensible about it all
Gets Belphie to protect/cuddle you while he helps organise things
Makes you some healthy snacks to munch on if you get nervous (makes himself a large amount too, he's very nervous)
Wants to come with you, to protect you
The bestest boi. You have to stop him from carrying you. Even so, he's always just barely touching you in one way or another.
Waits patiently like a puppy for the appointment to be finished
Once you're home, gets Belphie to keep you comfortable while he gets anything else you might need. (Snacks, medicine, etc.)
You're not leaving his side tonight. Prepare to be smothered in cuddles
Belphegor
Was only half awake beforehand, but not anymore. He's never felt more awake
Once he understands the situation, he calms down a bit and gets beel to help him help you
Curls around you like a cat. Tries to get you to take a nap before you go
Will only go if you really want him too. He doesn't want to accidentally fall asleep and become a burden.
Definitely gets Satan to help him "borrow" Lucifer's car
Sends other people to get things while he stays with you like a guard dog.
He stayed awake for a long time, so now you owe him (just thank him and give him cuddles)
Will make the most comfortable little nest for you (and him. And probably Beel too) to sleep in tonight

You'd think the worst part of being immunocompromised would be catching All The Things, but honestly, the actual worst part is not being able to visit very sick loved ones because they're afraid of you catching the sickness :(
#i just discovered an hour ago that my mother was hospitalized last night and my dad mentioned 'the ambulance gave us nebulizer equipment'#by force of will i didn't say 'WHAT ambulance?!' because they don't need more anxiety right now#they were driving home together and my mother sounds awful and said she still didn't feel like she was breathing properly#dad was like 'she's really tired so i was thinking of giving her the nebulizer and getting her to lie down'#me: 'WHAT NO KEEP HER UPRIGHT' /calms slightly 'and tell her to take her nebulizer and be careful and i love her.'#'but seriously. don't let her lie down and don't let her go to sleep.'#i hate her pathetic fucking doctor so much though#she was doing better after i bullied her into seeing an asthma specialist but she caught some awful ... something and then this happened???#anghraine babbles#asthma

#i'm so over it#a month + still no mri results even though they've been set up for over a year to go straight to my gp from the radiologist#3 phone calls. 2 release of info consent forms. still no results#and my ent specialist apparently just. never sent over the documents to my gp from when i spent a week and a half in hospital last year#which are like. the most important documents to have for the stuff going on rn#and my gp was supposed to talk to my neurology team about smthn and have appointments set up#but that never happened so im going to have to do it myself#hoping i have a doctor free weekend at least..#have spent the past month of weekends in different medical facilities#gothihop speaks

i think the toughest part for me during all this is how fast it's been. going from being totally normal but with gas/bloating/farting....to suddenly having no gas/bloating/farting but experiencing difficulty breathing and high heartrate one time when i ate too much. then during the week having that happen more and more every time i ate. and then having it happen even if i ate hardly anything. and then starting the probiotics the next week and having that solve the difficulty breathing issue but introduce other side effects. and eventually getting to the point where that nerve pain and extreme reduced ability to move my legs/arms and mental confusion was a constant rather than just when i ate. i have felt so helpless through this whole thing and the doctors kept saying 'wait a week for your appointment and get a referral' while the ER was saying 'you need to see a specialist NOW'. and every day i was waiting it got worse. its just so frustrating because if i had been able to see a real doctor on the 27th of july when i ended up in the ER the first time, so much of this pain might have been slowed or prevented. im sitting here being dizzy and unable to do basic things like clean my house or move around much and am looking forward to spending the next four days just trying to survive till i can see a doctor.
my lovely neighbor went out and bought me these drinks called 'orgain' so im drinking that now and just hoping desperately its not going to trigger anything
#jrnlsht#i have an apppointment monday#i finally got fed up with insurance and found a private GI specialist in beverly hills lmao#grandma is gonna help me figure out how to financially afford it and hope that i wont have to pay thousands for the tests#but soooooo many patients dont even have that option of relatives who can help#this is common enough that when i explained my situation to the private doctors office#they said that they were acustomed to getting people with state health*care who were in emergency situations and couldnt wait#there are much better doctors in places like the hun*tington hospital but they are not allowed to accept cash#because if you are on state health*care you are not supposed to have money to pay cash to see a doctor even in emergency situations#its so profoundly stupid#like yes im on state healthcare because i cant afford 300$ a month insurance payments while unemployed#but that doesnt mean it isnt worth it to take 400$ out of my savings to see a doctor in an emergency situation#i fucking hate the united states so fucking much

Roy has more pairs of sunglasses than Wendy has bows, jewelry, and shoes combined
Darn right he does! Part of me wants to believe he has an assortment of all different kinds of sunglasses, but then the other part of me thinks he has like 8 billion pairs of the same sunglasses lol 😭
#koopalings#koopaling headcanons#sorry for being inactive again!!#tl;dr version is I am dealing with some medical issues requiring multiple visits to various doctors and specialists and even hospital visits#this all caught me entirely off guard#this next week is the first time in over a month that I don't have any kind of doctor appointment hehe#anyways there may be times of inactivity but I don't want this blog to die

I HAVE OFFICIALLY STARTED VOLUNTEERING AT A HOSPITAL!
I did my first every shift earlier today (it’s about 11 pm on a Friday night rn) and it was a lot but good! I’m a patient escort rn and a “runner”, I’m the one who has to go around and personally escort patients or visitors around the hospital. I walked nearly 3 miles in total today from all of it. My legs hurt. And it’s a huge ass hospital, so big that I got lost a couple times and one time, I needed help from another volunteer to get back to the lobby.
But after I complete my 100 hours, which will approximately be in late December, I can transfer to a different department and I REALLY want to get to the pediatric playrooms. Volunteering there will be one step closer to my dreams of becoming a child life specialist.
So…yeah. I just wanted to share this because I’m really happy and kinda proud of myself. That’s all.
If y’all read all do this, thank you for reading :)

Many diseases send signals in the form of symptoms, whereas there are plenty of diseases that don't ring alarm bells.
Health checkup camps are important
How would learn or diagnose those diseases, like cardiac-related developing disease or something related to cyst? Unless you visit a hospital or a health camp, you wouldn’t be able to learn about the real status of your health.

start of 2022 to june 2023 was the longest streak i ever went without going to the hospital outside scheduled appointments and not even a year later i have a nearly three week stint in the hospital and am back to being on a feeding tube 16 hours a day for the first time since i was a toddler. i usually joke about being disabled and stuff but this shit sucks. i hate that my health has just been insane since i’ve been in the womb and there’s absolutely no stability in terms of knowing how well i’m doing. stopped having hospitalized pneumonias when i was ten, then had one when i was 17 and like it’s been almost ten years but who knows!!! hopefully the next time i need heart surgery it’ll be a cardiac cath instead of open heart b it who’s to say!!! we never thought I’d be on a tube again but here i am at 26 and I’ve had two types just this month!!! all the doctors talking to me tell me how well i’m handling things and how complex my case is and how they hope they get me “back to normal” because i’m “just so young” and then just look sad when i say I’ve gotten used to this since birth. i’m just so fucking tired. this shit just doesn’t end y’know, you think you’re finally something close to normal and healthy and then you realize you were just going through a quiet period
anyway sorry for the vent post have a picture of my dear sweet friend pim pimling
#had a phlebotomist during my stay walk in and go ‘you’re too young to be here!’#and I try to joke and have a good attitude and just kind went ‘eh I’ve been in hospitals since I was a baby!’#and she just got quiet and sad and like. sorry. really wasn’t trying to bring the mood down#(she was right though. I was the youngest on the floor by about thirty years)#anyway one of my surgeons wants to present my case at a Gi conference so that’s fun#the thing is I have a lot of rare defects that aren’t inherently comorbid which is… complicated#I’ve had many doctors straight up admit they don’t know what to do with me#some of my disabilities are commonly comorbid but… a lot of them really aren’t. i’m just a weird mixed bag#and a lot of people even medical professionals have just never met anyone with some of my disabilities#they’re not like. ‘only a few hundred or thousand cases’ type of rare#but they’re ‘if you’re not a specialist you could probably never meet someone with this’ rare for some of them

what’s cool about trying to manage stress-related flare-ups is that it is physically impossible for me to not be stressed when i have health issues that i’m going to have to deal with for the rest of my life and spend an inordinate amount of money on to even slightly mitigate the pain

First night went okay. I just had a hard time falling asleep because I was covered in goosebumps. Heat can cause more skin irritation, so the specialist advised me not to turn on my heated blanket.
Today will be another 'sit as still as possible on the couch and crochet to distract myself' kind of day.
Countdown: 22 hours until removal of the patches.
#allergy test#birthday was... well- my friend and even my dad thought my birthday wasn't until today so they almost forgot to congratulate me#i miss birb and babe too.. i won't see them until thursday or friday because i have to go back to the specialist tomorrow & thursday morning#i'm staying at my parents' because the hospital is closer to them#they were working as well so i spent most of my birthday by myself. i won't celebrate with family until the weekend & in two weeks#it didn't feel like a joyous day- let's keep it at that#sorry for the tag rant#xoxo
